The fundamental idea behind these Modules is to offer practical resources for trainers of carers and for the carers themselves, who oftentimes work in silence and without much outside support, so as to empower them in their lives and caring situation.
The general objectives are to facilitate trainers of carers, and family members themselves, with access to structured and practical education and training resources that can help carers in their efforts providing care to dependent persons.
The specific objectives are, foremost, to: offer resources that can help improve the care given to dependent persons, with forgetting the need for carers to take care of themselves, taking steps to minimize stress and bad feelings that can result in the day-to-day care offered to the dependent person.
The Pilot-Test
CARERS Project Pilot Test is about testing and analyzing the quality and utility of the materials that have been developed for informal carers, as well as experts and trainers of carers.
The evaluation of the Modules and resources will be based on:
▪ Questionnaires for trainers/experts
▪ Pre-Test questionnaires for carers
▪ Post-Test questionnaires for carers
