Austria - Graz - S.I.N.N.
S.I.N.N. is an internationally active counselling and training enterprise, registered in Graz, Austria. S.I.N.N. primarily deals with curriculum development ( www.ebiff.org ) quality management and certification in the field of disability, as well as with evaluation and training for professionals working with disadvantaged groups (children with disability, frontline workers assisting PwD).
S.I.N.N. understands training, evaluation and certification as dialogue processes, based on transparency and respect towards each partner involved. Furthermore, S.I.N.N. pays attention to full participation of beneficiaries and dependent persons and aims to include them at every stage of a project.
S.I.N.N. has coordinated a Leonardo da Vinci pilot project ( www.eqm-pd.com ) aiming to increase the quality of professional assistance for PwD and initiating certification processes (via online assessment instrument) for services supporting PwD, including the recognition of learning. The online assessment of quality and the interactive curriculum for frontlineworkers were both proven to be innovative and can be transferred into the area of care. Indeed, transfering individual portfolio approaches into care – especially regarding the care situation in Austria is a logical step in the development of innovative tools using ICT.
The head of S.I.N.N, Dr. Pretis, who is an active Member of international societies in the field of Assistance and Care, will lead S.I.N.N’s inputs for the development of the Quality and Evaluation Plan and the modular contents for CARERS’ education and training resources.
