Expected Results

    • Definition of the requirements to be followed for realizing a Caring Training Program suitable for a “European Care Licence”.
    • Selection of professional tutor/teacher candidates with the necessary educational qualifications to be able to offer high-quality education and training for 300 carers in 6 countries.
    • Creation of a training programme (6 modules, 10 hours each) for carers that can facilitate the recognition/accreditation of informal learning.
    • Development of training materials in web and DVD format, keeping in mind “European care certificate” requirements and learning outcomes.
    • Publication of Trainer’s guide that provide hints and guidelines for the development of CARERS’ training program.
    • Implementation of Pilot Tests in France, Luxembourg, Austria, Lithuania, Poland and Spain on the resources and on the different training modalities.
    • Improvement of the resources based on Pilot Test evaluation and feedback.
    • Publication of Best Practice guide for the development of training materials for informal carers.
    • Holding an international conference with experts in the field to present CARERS’ results and to discuss their adaptation to the requirements of a “European care certificate”.
    • Promotion of CARERS activities through national and international media and events, working with local and national institutions and organisations to create synergies and build a network of alliances for post-project sustainability.
